This experience is all about warmth, connection, and home-cooked goodness. You won’t be in a fancy kitchen or a cooking school—you’ll be in a real Turkish home, where a local mom from Southeast Turkey will welcome you like family. Together, you’ll cook home-style Turkish-Kurdish dishes, the kind that have been passed down through generations and made with love.
But this isn’t just about food—it’s about sharing stories, laughter, and traditions. As you roll dolma or prepare fresh mezes, you’ll hear about the little secrets that make each dish special and how food brings people together in Turkey. More than a class, it’s a chance to experience true Turkish home hospitality—sitting around the table, enjoying a homemade feast, and feeling like you truly belong. From the moment you walk in, you won’t feel like a guest—you’ll feel like an old friend.

Step into a real Turkish home and discover the heart of Turkish cuisine with a warm and welcoming local mom! This isn’t just a cooking class—it’s a chance to slow down, gather in a cozy kitchen, and cook together just like we do at home. Before the class, we’ll check your dietary preferences and customize a menu just for you. Whether you want to master dolma, börek, mezes, mantı, or other traditional dishes, our mom—an expert home cook—will teach you step by step. More than just a cooking lesson, this is an invitation to experience Turkish home hospitality, culture, and everyday life as you cook, chat, and enjoy a delicious homemade feast together. But it’s not just about the food—it’s about the warmth, the stories, and the feeling of togetherness. This is an invitation to experience Turkish home hospitality, culture, and everyday life. As we cook, we’ll chat about life, traditions, and the memories tied to these meals. And when everything is ready, we’ll sit down to enjoy the feast, sharing laughter and conversation like old friends. Come hungry, leave with a full heart—and maybe even a new family in Istanbul.

1- Please notify any dietary restrictions after booking. 2- Other options to arrive at the location: If you are coming from the old town (Sultanahmet, Hagiasophia, Grandbazaar, Eminönü); I would suggest to take the tram to Kabataş. From Kabataş, you can either take a taxi or bus, or even walk for 25 minutes. This would be a nice walk. Once you are at Selamlık Street, look for number 21, Evim Apt. It is a bit above the car park, the gate of the building is right across Abbasaga Mosque. You can ring the bell on the left side, number 6. After that, you will walk up one floor.
