The region is popular due to its natural beauty and the fairytale castles, Linderhof and Neuschwanstein, built by the famous King Louis II of Bavaria, the "Mad King". It is not possible to guarantee tickets to Neuschwanstein Castle. For groups of less than 15 people, reservations must be made individually.
