The apparitions have continued to this day, and the town has become a pilgrimage site for Catholics who seek spiritual renewal and healing. The town is known for its peaceful and serene atmosphere, with its rolling hills and scenic countryside providing a beautiful backdrop for spiritual reflection. Visitors can participate in daily masses, confession, and adoration, as well as attend talks and conferences on the Catholic faith. The main attraction of Medjugorje is the Apparition Hill, where the Virgin Mary first appeared to the young people in 1981. Many visitors climb the hill on their knees as a sign of devotion and humility. The town is also home to the Church of St. James, a beautiful and sacred place where pilgrims can attend mass and participate in other spiritual activities.
