What's included in Private Tour - All of the East, Furnas, Nordeste & Povoação
(Subject to Option Inclusions)Explore Furnas and the off beaten track wilderness of the East of the island, its most remote part. Your guide will take you to see Furnas highlights - Furnas lake and Caldeiras, and then proceed to show you the breathtaking views of Nordeste coastline, on the viewpoints over the cliffs, full of flowers, and the waterfalls of "Ribeira dos Caldeirões" park. This tour also includes Povoação, the village where the first settlers of the island of São Miguel landed, Gonçalo Velho Cabral and his crew, in 1444, which would become the donatory captain of the islands of São Miguel and Santa Maria and responsible for the settlement of these islands. We can say that the history of the island of São Miguel begins in Povoação.

We pick up at any location on Ponta Delgada (including Cruise Ships and Airport), Lagoa, Ribeira Grande, Maia and Vila Franca areas. Other locations are subject to request, you might need to meet us at a meeting point, or pay an extra fee. Please inquiry. Pick-up time: 9:30 AM (if you need a different pick up time please advise) Please note we drive a 5 seat vehicles SUV type, we can take up to 4 participants per vehicle if it suits your group.
