Visit the three most important sights of Jewish heritage. The Jewish cemetery is one of the oldest in Europe. A Synagogue built into a Roman palace. Diocletian's Palace, where Jewish community lives.
Our tour will start at near by hill called Marjan where even today we can see old Jewish cemetery monument of culture. I will provide you with some names that came live, work, educate in Split and that are burried there. From there we will have panoramic wiev city of Split and near by Islands. We will then head back to Diocletian's palace to enter in synagogue.
We will then head back to Diocletian's palace to enter in synagogue. That is placed inside of west wall of Palac. Its the most oldest synagogue in Europe. It is still active and inside we will se holy book of Torah gift of primeminister of Israel. Inside is still active Jewish comunity of city Split.
Then we will explore Jewish ghetto and hear about history of first Jewish community that came here from Spain. Also explore the Diocletian's palace that dates long back in 3th century. How it was life in Roman time how time laps was changing the palac and shape the city itself to modern city today with such rich histroy.
