The icon of Langkawi, Eagle Square or locally known as Dataran Lang is the home for Langkawi’s giant statue of an eagle which according to old folklore where Langkawi get its name from : The two Malay words – ‘helang’ (eagle) and ‘kawi’ (reddish brown): hence lang-kawi. Durian Perangin Waterfall
