This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine.Join Alda in the kitchen to prepare a few simple dishes such as chilaquiles or corn quesadillas with a variety of traditional fillings such as mushrooms, peppers, nopales (cactus), huitlacoche (corn fungus), and flor de calabaza (squash flowers). These dishes are typically served with beans or a tomato and chickpea-rice for sides. You can expect to learn to cook 2-3 dishes. The cooking portion of your experience will last approximately 90 minutes.
