Hohenschwangau

Located at the foot of the mountain, Hohenschwangau Castle was the childhood residence of King Ludwig II. The castle, with its beautiful yellow façade, offers a glimpse into the royal family’s life and the Bavarian monarchy’s history. Visitors can hike up to the castle for a brief yet fascinating tour of its rooms, which are filled with historical artifacts and stunning views of the surrounding area. Altstadt von Fuessen

Nestled at the crossroads of the Romantic Road, the Claudia Augusta Road, and the German Alpine Road, Füssen is a charming town with over 2,000 years of history. From its Roman origins to its peak under Emperor Maximilian I, Füssen later flourished during the reign of the "Fairy Tale King," Ludwig II. The town is home to two castles, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, standing as symbols of royal dreams.
