Visitors can immerse themselves in the lively atmosphere, interact with friendly vendors, and sample the flavors of the region, making it a must-visit destination for culinary exploration. Closed on Mondays. Includes travel time from Lisbon to Setúbal.

This private workshop delves into a collective story, aiming to revive the tradition of knowledge transmission once held by elders like Ti Alfredo, the esteemed figure in Azeitão cheese making. It blends hands-on experience with an understanding of the natural relationship and interdependence between humans and the environment, passed down through centuries of tradition. Upon arrival at the cheese dairy, participants encounter freshly curdled milk while being guided through the process and the significance of using thistle rennet—a plant-based coagulant—gaining insight into the entire Azeitão cheese-making process. You'll indulge in samples of toast, regional bread, fresh cheese, creamy Azeitão cheese, homemade jam or chutney, and muscat wine.
