You will travel to the North Wessex Downs, where you will visit an ancient woodland site which is particularly magnificent in May when the bluebells cover the enchanting land with its sky-blue velvet blanket. It’s a perfect place for a picnic and a walk.
Later on, you will explore the surrounding areas of the largest artificial mound in Europe, which is the same size and age as Egyptian pyramids. By afternoon, you will head out into the largest Neolithic cave used for ancient ceremonies and which has a reputation of a haunted place. Afterwards, you will visit the oldest stone circle in the world, which is even older than Stonehenge and was used for peculiar religious rituals more than 5000 years ago.
