Ponte de São João is a railway infrastructure that transports the Northern Line over the Douro River, near the city of Porto, in Portugal. Built to replace the 100-year-old Ponte D. Maria Pia, it entered service on June 24, 1991.

Imposing arched railway bridge completed in 1877 and designed by the famous architect Gustave Eiffel. It is considered, together with the Viaduct of Garabit, as the greatest masterpieces executed by the engineer Gustave Eiffel.
