Peekskill is one of New York's best-kept secrets and one of the oldest societies in America, dating back to the 1600s. Peekskill is home to an artist community, vintage bookstores, festivals, live music, and a huge foodie culture. We will visit bars, bakeries, dessert parlors, and cafes, as well as artist lofts, street art, boutiques, and bookstores. Your tour includes a combination of 10-15 food and non-food indoor and outdoor stops. Participants will enjoy bite-sized food, desserts, coffee, and alcoholic beverages, varying between Latino, Caribbean, Southern, and American cultures. All food and drinks are included. More than just food and drinks, you will learn about Peekskill's rich history spanning 500 years through random, fun, and surprising facts! The tour runs about 2.5-3 hours, rain or shine. This will be a 2.5-3.5 mile walk with minimal seating and uneven, ascending, and descending pavement. Please come with comfy shoes, an empty tummy, ready to mingle, and we'll do the rest.
