Be picked up from your hotel in Brussels (and surrounding areas) and travel to Ligny, where Napoleon fought his last victory against the Prussian. There, learn about his tactics and the consequences of this incomplete victory. Discover why he failed to destroy the prussian army, a fact that will have later big consequences.
Quatre Bras
Continue to Quatre-Bras, where the French and British armies clashed. Learn more about the actions of the Marshall Ney on that day and how he failed to really defeat the british army, which provides Wellington the time to reorganize its troops.
Waterloo Battlefield
Next, visit the battlefield of Waterloo, where Napoleon was defeated by the British and Prussian armies. Learn about how the french were beaten by the coalized armies, as well as the heroic actions of that day. Visit the places of the clashes, such as Plancenoit, Hougoumont or La-Haie-Sainte. Then, enjoy the incredible view from the Lion's Mound of Waterloo and learn more about the dutch prince that was wounded there.
