Mount Fuji is the symbol of Japan and the tallest mountain in the country. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013.

At the 5th Station of the Fuji Subaru Line, there are gender-separated changing rooms and free resting areas available. Luggage can be stored in coin lockers (300-500 yen).
No need to arrange for mountain huts on your own! (If staying at the 7th or 8th Station, please inform us the day before.)

[About Mt. Fuji Climbing Guides]

  • Please be aware that there are risks of illness, injury, or loss when climbing, as you will be traveling away from medical areas. Even with a guide, the risks will be minimized, and you must take responsibility for your own safety while climbing.
  • At the 5th Station, you will meet up with the tour from other regions, and a designated Fuji mountain guide will accompany you through the climb. However, when descending from the summit, the guide may allow free descent following their instructions.
  • During the climb, the guide’s instructions are crucial for your safety. The guide will check your climbing gear, and if there are any issues or if you are deemed unfit due to health or stamina concerns, you may be forced to retire or leave the group for safety reasons. There will be no refunds in such cases.
  • If gear is missing or faulty, the guide or local staff will assist with rental or purchase of necessary items.

[About the free plan]

  • [Yoshidaguchi Route] After arriving at the 5th Station of Mt. Fuji, please follow the instructions of our staff to begin the climb.
  • It is recommended to take a break for at least 30 minutes at the 5th Station to acclimate your body to the altitude before starting the hike.

[Notes on climbing Fuji]

  • All courses will proceed regardless of rain. However, if heavy rain, storms, or a typhoon occurs, the tour may be canceled in advance. Additionally, if the weather changes suddenly and the guide or the Fuji Mountain Instruction Center decides to cancel the climb or optional crater tour, please understand that no refunds will be provided in such cases.
  • The weather on Mount Fuji can change rapidly, so rain gear is essential. If you do not have the required gear, you may be asked to retire, and no refunds will be given.
  • If you abandon the climb due to health reasons and stay in a different mountain hut or rest area, the accommodation fees will be your responsibility, and no refunds will be provided. The guide will not be able to accompany you on your descent.
  • Depending on the weather and the schedule, you may not be able to see the sunrise. Also, during peak seasons, you may not be able to reach the summit due to congestion on the mountain trail.
  • The walking times for the courses are merely estimates and may change significantly depending on the climbing conditions.
  • You will join the climb with others from different areas. If there is a delay in their arrival at the 5th Station due to traffic, you may need to wait before starting the climb.
  • Toilets above the 5th Station are fee-based (100–300 yen per use). Please bring small change.
  • Water is precious on Mount Fuji, and all water usage is fee-based. Please ensure you are prepared for this.

[About mountain huts]

  • The mountain huts are mixed-gender rooms, and during peak times, the space per person may be less than one tatami mat. While bedding (such as sleeping bags) is provided, there are no water facilities or baths available.
  • Please note that some mountain huts may not have changing spaces available.
