After being picked up from your hotel (or within walking distance from your address), you’ll journey to Rifugio Sapienza, enjoying scenic viewpoints along the way. Your knowledgeable guide will share insights about the volcano's history and recent eruptions, including the ancient Silvestri Craters. From Rifugio Sapienza (1920 m), choose to trek natural paths up to 2000 m or opt for the high-altitude experience. In the latter case, a cable car ride to 2500 m and a 4x4 bus will take you to the highest accessible points, revealing a dramatic lunar landscape and stunning views of the Central and Southeast Craters. The excursion also includes a visit to a lava cave and concludes with a tasting of delicious regional specialties before returning to your hotel!
