・Miyara River Mangrove Forest The Miyara River Hirugi Forest, located on Ishigaki Island's representative Miyara River, is so peaceful that you'll want to take a deep breath. The mangrove forest stretches for 1.5 km from the river mouth. It is one of the places where you can feel close to the nature of Ishigaki Island, and is a quiet spot that is not very touristy. It was designated a national natural monument in 1972.
・Blue Cave (Ishigaki Island)
The much talked about hidden spot "Blue Cave" shines blue as its name suggests when illuminated by the sun. Of the several Blue Cave locations in Japan, the Blue Cave on Ishigaki Island is deep enough that adults can reach it when the tide is out, making it safe for children and those new to marine sports to enjoy.
