Itinerary

Marseille, one of France's oldest cities, owes much of its historical prominence to its strategic location on the Mediterranean Sea. Today the Old Port is a vibrant hub for gatherings, major celebrations and amazing fireworks and remains a cherished landmark for the people of Marseille.

Marseille

Marseille's history is a captivating tapestry woven from the influences of Romans, Moors, and a variety of migrant communities, notably from North Africa and Italy. This rich and diverse heritage has shaped a distinctive blend of languages, cuisines, and traditions, all firmly grounded in its enduring Mediterranean essence.

Here we will taste panisse. It is a beloved Marseille specialty, made from chickpea flour and traditionally fried into golden, crispy slices. Originating from Ligurian and Provençal influences, it's a staple of local cuisine, often enjoyed as a snack or appetizer. Whether served hot at a seaside café or freshly prepared at home, panisse embodies the simple yet flavorful charm of Marseille’s culinary heritage.
