Because I came from far too. I left Brazil with everything it represented to me: roots, routine and a routine way of being. I arrived in Santiago without knowing right what I was looking for, but slowly I realized that, more than a new place, I was looking for a new look.
The photograph has accompanied me since before all this, but it was here that it changed from Tom. It ceased to be just a beautiful image and became a presence. Listen. Pause. A way to find meaning in what's in front of my eyes.
This activity is special because it carries it. It's not about posing, or getting good in the picture. It's about being seen. It's about having someone paying attention to what you don't show altogether. It is to share a moment without a script and see what happens when the presence is real..
This session is an exchange. And that's why she matters so much.
The city you imagine: You suggest the place and together we define the session. It could be a neighborhood, a viewpoint, a tourist spot, whatever you want.
Duration: 1 hour
I am a Brazilian photographer and I chose to live in Santiago after many years in Brazil. When I got here, I started looking at everything with different eyes. The city welcomed me and the photography too. This experience takes place in the Bicentennial Park in Vitacura. A wooded, quiet neighborhood with mirrors of water and natural light that changes significantly as the day passes. It is the kind of place where you want to breathe deeper and rest. The idea here is not to pose or expect you to know what to do in front of the camera. The proposal is simple: we meet, walk and observe. And while you live that moment, I photograph. Maybe you come in couple, with a friend or alone, it doesn't matter. What matters is what you will carry that day. And that's what I try to record. The session lasts about 1 hour. Then I send you 50 carefully edited photos. In up to 24 hours, you'll already get a preview with some of them. At the end, a chilean chocolate to mark the date. Questions or special requests?
