Depending on where your ship docks, your driver will either be waiting on the dock as close to your ship as possible. If there are two gangplank exits he will stand in the centre of both. Or your driver will be waiting after the new passenger terminal that you will have to walk through. He will be holding a sign with your name on it.

If you wish to see Michelangelo’s original David we recommend you pre-book your tickets (16euro per person) as early as possible to avoid standing in long lines. THE LEANING TOWER OF PISA is another very busy monument and pre-booking your tower tour in advance is recommended. Tickets can be purchased a maximum of 20 days and a minimum of 1 day prior to the date of your visit, subject to availability and cost 20euro per person. Children under 8 are not permitted to climb the Tower and under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. The tour is around 30 minutes and there are 251 steps to climb on an uneven and slippery surface.
