Kotor Bay is one of the deepest and longest in the Adriatic Sea and is often called the southernmost fiord of Europe. The old Mediterranean archipelago, surrounded by impressive city walls, is very well preserved and included in the UNESCO list of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage. Throughout the city, there are buildings, intertwined with streets and squares, and on one of them there is a Cathedral of St. Tryphon (XII century) – the recognizable symbol of the city. The most impressive attraction are the city walls that surround the city. The old town of Kotor also has a great number of nicely arranged restaurants and hotels where you can taste traditional specialties as well as varied Mediterranean food, but in this tour you will have cooking class and lunch at the local family home. Simply, Kotor is the city to which the visit is unavoidable!

Kotor Old Town
Starting Kotor city tour at agreed time (duration of the tour around 1 hour). Sightseeing of its squares, St. Tryphon Cathedral, St. Luke church... Then, short walk to the local family home. You will join Susan in her family home kitchen in Kotor for approx. 3 hours cookery course with final lunch. Tasting local wine, rakija brandy or homemade juice… a lot of laugh and nice stories. Already on the first step you will feel as a part of family in a company of lovely, outgoing and humorous host who will show you how to prepare food on authentic and traditional way. Put on apron and take a chance to prepare 1 or 2 dishes characteristic for the area of Bay of Kotor and have lunch made of starter, main course and desert. Have in mind that, as you are at Adriatic coast, most of the traditional food and specialties are based on fish and sea food. You will learn the local recipes that you can use later. When finish, it’s time for sitting together, talking & enjoying tasty meal.
