– Itinerary Information –

  • Imjingak Park – Tradition meets spirituality
Imjingak Park was established as a sanctuary to offer solace and support to refugees who made the journey from North to South Korea during the Korean War. Here, you'll find a railway that once connected the two nations but was dismantled during the conflict.

  • The Bridge of Freedom – A walk through history
The Bridge of Freedom, constructed in 1953, served as the pathway for 12,773 prisoners to reunite with South Korea. As you visit, you'll encounter this poignant symbol of liberation, once traversed by South Koreans making their way back from the North. By walking in their footsteps decades later, you'll gain a deeper appreciation of the cultural and emotional significance of this historic space.
  • 3rd Infiltration Tunnel
An absolute must-visit highlight on our itinerary is the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, situated 12 kilometers from Munsan and 52 kilometers from Seoul. This remarkable tunnel was unearthed in 1978 and held a chilling purpose – it was designed for a potential invasion of the South. Stretching a daunting 1,635 meters in length, with a height and width of 2 meters each, this tunnel possessed the capacity to move an entire division per hour.

What makes this discovery even more intriguing is the controversy surrounding it; North Korea initially alleged that the tunnel was constructed by the South for a surprise attack, but compelling evidence points in the opposite direction.
  • DMZ Theater – The past in action
At the DMZ Theater, you will have the opportunity to watch a short 7-8-minute video about the Korean conflict. The video offers a South Korean perspective on the Korean War, explains the origins of the DMZ, and discusses the current situation.

It also provides background information on the infiltration tunnels dug by North Korea. Having just had the opportunity to walk through the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, this video should be quite enlightening.

  • DMZ Exhibition Hall
Next up on your DMZ experience is the Exhibition Hall. Here, you will encounter essential artifacts that will enhance your comprehension of our tumultuous history. This hall houses photographs, documents, and remnants from the past, offering a visual and immersive journey that will deepen your understanding of the conflict.
  • Dorasan Observatory
Perched atop Dorasan, the Observatory provides an ideal vantage point for gazing across the border. This location is the closest point to the North and ranks among the tour's most cherished highlights for travelers.
