— What You Can Expect —

  • Great Divide (15-min stop)
    The divide marks the border between Kootenay National Park to the west and Banff National Park to the east.
  • Marble Canyon (45-min stop)
    Take the enjoyable self-guided trail, 1km (0.6 mi) each way, which leads along this ice-caved, marble-streaked canyon and through the remains of a forest destroyed by wildfires in 2003.
  • Kootenay Valley View Point (10-min stop)
    This roadside viewpoint provides breathtaking views of the Mitchell and Vermillion mountain ranges and the Kootenay River far below.
  • Radium Hot Springs - optional (90-min stop)
    Soak in the naturally- heated, mineral-rich hot pool between the sheltering walls of Sinclair Canyon. Radium is one of three thermal swimming pools in the Rocky Mountain National Parks.
  • Sinclair Canyon (10-min stop)
    A scenic trail through an open Douglas-fir forest along the edge of Sinclair Canyon. Features views of the Columbia Valley and verdant Sinclair Canyon Falls.

  • It is highly recommended to check the weather forecast before your arrival and pack accordingly. The temperatures in the Rocky Mountains can drop dramatically at night
  • Please be on time for each meeting point during the tour. Refunds will not be granted to missed tours due to late arrivals and personal reasons
