Khao Yai National Park
Start your nature retreat with a guided walk (self-paced) along the Nong Phak Chi Trail, a scenic route through grasslands and forested areas. Keep an eye out for gibbons, hornbills, and other wildlife along this 2.5 km trail, ending at a wildlife observation tower with panoramic jungle views. Recharge with a local Thai meal at the park’s canteen (own expense). Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and fuel up before the waterfall visits.
Made famous by The Beach, this 20-meter-high waterfall cascades into a jungle pool and is one of Khao Yai’s most popular natural landmarks. Walk the short trail to the viewing platform or hike down to the base to feel the refreshing mist.
Next, visit the peaceful Lamtakong Campsite, where wild deer often roam freely. It’s a great place to relax, snap some wildlife photos, and enjoy the calm of the national park.
