Toronto Island is the only island chain in Western Lake Ontario, it has a diverse collection of plants and wildlife, and holds deep history dating back to the first native American people. Did you know the location for Toronto, then called York, was chosen due to the prime natural harbour created by the Toronto Island, then a peninsula?
Wards and Algonquin Island are some of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city and some of their ancestors are still here today.
We offer a breathtaking group experience through the lagoons of the Toronto Islands with an experienced guide by water. Seeing the Islands by water is the best way to see some hidden gems and nature spots only the locals know about.
You will learn about Island history, ecology, local fauna, paddling techniques, and more! These tours are done in small groups to ensure that everyone gets a good experience. No experience necessary - guide will adjust the experience to the group of the day and may include a brief lesson.
PLEASE NOTE: eco-tours have a minimum enrollment of 2 people. If the minimum is not met 24hrs prior to the start time of the event, the event will be canceled.
You will make your own way to the meeting points
