Ohrid lies on the shores of one of the oldest lakes in Europe, Lake Ohrid. Everywhere in Ohrid, breathtaking views of the Lake will fill your eyes and cameras. Called the second Jerusalem on The Balkans, Ohrid is the center from where Christianity was spread in these lands. After the city tour, we continue to the small mountain village of Kuratica for a home-hosted lunch. Enjoy the traditional meal!

Ancient Theatre of Ohrid
Ancient Theater in Ohrid is located at the foot of the eastern slope of the higher Ohrid hill, under Samuel’s Fortress. It is near one of the main entrances to the fortified city – the Upper Gate, from where one may capture and enjoy in the unforgettable breathtaking view of the lake and the surrounding mountains.
The fresco painting in this church represents some of the first works of the most prestigious medieval painters Michael and Eutychios. Their dramatic expressiveness was the basis of the new trend in Byzantine art from this epoch, called “The Renaissance of the Paleologues”, which was the last chapter of the Byzantine art.
Tsar Samuel's Fortress
The remains are a witness of the fortified city that Ohrid one was. The fortress still remains today watching over Ohrid.
