Holistic Immersion in Biosphere Reserve of les Terres de l'Ebre

The Biosphere Reserve of les Terres de l'Ebre is a collection of ecosystems and communities that encompass both coastal Catalonia and inland Catalonia, making for a visit that is short-distance and perfectly compatible. The Plegadis Foundation offers classroom and natural management spaces that are perfectly suited for discovering the various deltaic ecosystems and the fauna within them. This is always linked to one of the Delta's most important crops, rice fields, an agricultural system that ultimately becomes one of the main determining factors of the changing colors and international landscapes of the Ebro Delta, as well as the type of rich gastronomy that characterizes it. A short distance away lies one of the best mountain areas of the Iberian System, the Ports Natural Park, with a high frequency of Pyrenean Ibex and other animals from rocky environments. This area is rich in Mediterranean crops such as olive, almond, or vine, increasing the gastronomic diversity of the area and boasting extraordinary productions of oil and wines with visitable centers.
