Our experienced driver will pick you up at your hotel/ homestay in Hue and we start the round trip DMZ from Hue. On the way from Hue to visit DMZ, we will visit the highlights such as Horror Highway (The street of horror) is the unofficial name for a high way of about 9 km in Quang Tri province. On May 1, 1972, thousands of local people, mostly the old, women, children, and scores of soldiers were killed by artillery and infantry weapons in many hours of shooting.
Long Hung Church is the Catholic church of the Hung Long villagers. The total area of the church is 1220m2, including the octagonal bell tower in the front, and above is a cross, 2 sides are the wide chapel, and corridor. After the war to protect Quang Tri Citadel, the church collapsed due to the bombs.
One of the important relics in our Hue to DMZ Tour is Doc Mieu Firebase is considered the most important base of the Mc Namara defense line. Here the enemy built a system of arched cellars, mobile concrete bunkers, and ground artillery battlefield in the direction of firing off the North bank of Ben Hai River. With anti-aircraft battle 37, control center to protect the fence; armored company patrol with many US-Wei mixed companies. Around the base in addition to the thick barbed wire fence, there is an alarm system against intrusion.
