Bungo-Ono City is located in the southern part of Oita Prefecture. The city is a UNESCO Eco-Park and a Japan Geopark, where visitors can experience the unique natural landscape created by the eruption of the Aso volcano and the history and culture of the people who have accumulated in the midst of this natural environment. In Bungo-Ono City, visit Asaji-cho, located in the north-west of the city. The town is a tranquil place where rich nature remains and the sounds of birdsong and murmuring water can be heard. Guided cycle tours using e-bikes that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and fitness levels, allowing visitors to experience the charms of Asaji, including its unique scenery. The tour includes a visit to the Jinkakuji Gorge, Jinkakuji Temple, an observation point and other sites.

Cycling in the mountains of Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture. After orientation, guide(s) will take guests to an e-Bike tour.
The route runs along the Jinkakuji Valley, where crystal-clear mountain water flows, and stops at a spring water spot. In autumn, the valley is beautifully coloured with autumn leaves. After stopping at the spring water spot, visit the "Fudo Myoo" and "Arhat statues", which show the long history and culture of the area, before continuing on to the next spot.
One of the oldest temples in Oita Prefecture, with a history of over 1,000 years. It was temporarily devastated by war, but the present main hall and other buildings were rebuilt in 1369. The main hall and the standing wooden statue of Kongorikishi are designated as National Important Cultural Properties.
