The city emerged in the late II - early I millennium BC. e., experienced several ups and downs, was finally abandoned in the XIX century and is, therefore, a multi-layered archaeological site, one of the most important monuments of Georgian culture.
Stalin’s Museum, where the dictator's personal belongings are stored.
Next, we’ll hit the 6th-century Jvari Monastery, which sits pretty on a mountain and offers fantastic views of Mtskheta. This UNESCO World Heritage spot has that spiritual vibe going strong.
