Take a day trip from Melbourne to experience the natural wonders of the Grampians National Park. A geological playground for hikers, rock climbers and wildlife, the Grampians offer second to none views over the the park and western plains of Victoria and is home to the spectacular Mackenzie Falls. We showcase the region known as Gariwerd by the local Indigenous people. A spectacular series of rugged mountain ranges to the west of Melbourne. Home to an abundance of kangaroos, wallabies and other native animals and rich in natural wonders with stunning waterfalls and panoramic mountain views. This Grampians tour includes short walks to some of our favourite spots and includes a visit to the award-winning Brambuk the National Park & Cultural Centre for an insight into the history of the people, the landscape and the wildlife that make up this region.

Itinerary

Melbourne

We start the day early, leaving Melbourne sharply at 7:35am. We recommend guests eat breakfast prior to the tour, given we have a long drive ahead of us.

Beaufort

We kick things off in the laid-back town of Beaufort – perfect for a morning leg-stretch and a snack. Then it’s straight into the action as we hit Grampians National Park!

Brambuk The National Park & Cultural Centre

Once we have arrived in the picturesque National Park, we head to Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre, where you can explore and see first hand the creation stories that make up the lore of this diverse landscape. Venture around the cultural centre to spot wallabies, emus and maybe even echidnas in the bush. Come away with a deeper understanding of the significance of Gariwerd for the Indigenous people.

The default pick-up location for this tour will be Immigration Museum, 400 Flinders St, corner of Market St, Melbourne @ 7:35am. Please ensure you arrive to your nominated pickup location at least 5-10 minutes prior to departure time. What to Bring: Water bottle, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, warm clothing, comfortable shoes, camera, spending money and a sense of adventure! A moderate level of fitness is required to complete the walks. Our child policy states that infants and children 5 years old and under are not suitable for this tour. During extreme weather conditions this tour will be cancelled for safety reasons, alternative travel dates or tours will be available should this occur.
