Join out tour guides and enjoy the best of Bizkaia region. First of all we will make the hike to the hermitage of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, 241 steps of rock, sea and wind that will take us to enjoy spectacular views.
After returning to the starting point and taking a well-deserved rest, we will go to the charming fishing village of Mundaka, on the west bank of the Urdaibai River estuary, where we can see how the modernity of surfers mixes with the tradition of fishermen. in a villa with a unique appeal.
Finally we're going to take a deep dive into the heart of Basque history by visiting the legendary Gernika tree and the tragic bombing of the village during the Spanish civil war. Picasso´s Gernika portrayal will be visited along the way.

Please provide your hotel or apartment name and address (if small group option selected). Please note that the Minibus Bilingual Tour option (on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) does not offer hotel pick up.
Meeting / End Points
- The Minibus bilingual tour option, scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, has a specific meeting point (main gate of the church of Saint Nicholas) instead of hotel pick up. Departure time from this point is 9:00 am hence we recommend to be present in the spot 5 minutes earlier.

What a great day! The walk to the little church at the top of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe was memorable. I was so happy the access had reopened to visitors. I'm 72, pretty fit for my age, and it required effort -- but was definitely do-able at a reasonable pace. Just wear good shoes. Then on to Mund...
