The statue of the last Dacian king Decebalus (reigned 87-106 AD) stands 55 m high on the banks of the Danube.
The Danube Gorges represent the most picturesque part of the Danube’s Canyon at its passing through the Carpathians. On a nine kilometers line length, the river has dug its way into the rocks, being at the same time the border between Romania and Serbia.
Take a walk in the paradise of birds and wild horses from Ostrov Island. We will take the fast boat from Coronini and cross the river to reach the island included in the Iron Gates Natural Park.
