The Gothic Quarter, or Barri Gòtic, is one of the oldest and most historic neighborhoods in Barcelona. It is characterized by its narrow medieval streets, ancient architecture, and a wealth of historic landmarks, including the Barcelona Cathedral and the Gothic Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar. Visitors can explore its labyrinthine streets, discover hidden squares, and immerse themselves in the rich history and Gothic architecture that define this captivating district.
Ciutat Vella, which means "Old Town" in Catalan, is the historic center of Barcelona. It's a vibrant and diverse area where visitors can explore centuries-old architecture, visit museums, dine at traditional Catalan restaurants, and experience the lively atmosphere of Barcelona's historic heart.
