You start with the guided walking tour of the Medina of Fez, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is a labyrinth of 9600 towers, twisting alleys and the largest urbanized pedestrian zone in the world. Here we will first visit Place Seffarine where you can see (and hear!) the metalworkers who trade there in the traditional way using copper, brass and tin. Passing through the winding corridors to visit the famous tanneries then Al-Quarawiyyine University, the oldest university in the world and very important to Islam and gloriously decorated and recently restored to its ancient glory, then the exotic and fresh aromatic spices , from the vegetables piled up in the Attarine souk to the tastefully decorated Attarine madrasa, then you visit Nejjarine square and its beautiful mosaic, blue and white public fountain and the carpentry museum and the caravanserai.
