While on your journey stop by the Boulders Penguin Colony in Simons Town which is a home to a unique and endangered land-based colony of African Penguins. This colony is one of only a few in the world, and the site has become famous and a popular international tourist destination.
Then on our Cape Point Vineyard wine tasting discover an evolution of Sauvignon Blanc as your senses travel with us from the fruit forward flavours of the lower vineyard blocks to the extreme complexities and minerality of our yield higher up on the mountain.
Chapman’s Peak Drive winds its way between Noordhoek and Hout Bay and is touted as one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world that you will get to experience. These appointed rest areas also offer the opportunity to take photographs of the sheer cliffs and breathtaking seascapes. During whale season, you might be lucky enough see southern right whales in the ocean below.
Lastly we will end of the day by the Cape Point Vineyards or within Klein Constantia Wine Estate for some exceptional wine tasting and possibly some food pairing.
When we arrive at Boulders Beach you will see African Penguins – formerly known as jackass penguins because of their distinctive braying – which are the only penguins found on the continent.
