Yatsugatake during the Jomon period as a rich area, and even today many people live in harmony with nature. A local guide who loves Tateshina will take you to the special scenery. Of particular importance is the "water" that gushes out from Mt. Yatsugatake. People have been enjoying the water resources of this area for more than 10,000 years, and even today they live by taking advantage of the rich water resources and the environment at an altitude of nearly 1,000 meters. There are three courses to choose from: 1) Tateshina Otaki Course, 2) Otome Falls Course, and 3) Rice Terrace Course.
