Dubai’s history dates back to the early 18th century when it was a small fishing and pearl-diving village. Established in the 1830s by the Al Maktoum dynasty, Dubai began to grow as a trading hub due to its strategic location along the Persian Gulf. The discovery of oil in the 1960s marked a turning point, transforming Dubai into a wealthy, modern city. Despite rapid modernization, Dubai has preserved its rich cultural heritage, with historic districts like Bastakiya showcasing traditional architecture and lifestyles. The city's diverse population and innovative spirit have turned it into a global metropolis, blending ancient traditions with futuristic ambitions.

Souk Al Seef By Dubai Retail

Embark on a captivating journey through Old Dubai, where the city's rich history and cultural heritage come to life. Our tour begins at Al Seef, a vibrant waterfront promenade that beautifully blends traditional Emirati architecture with modern comforts. Stroll along the charming streets, lined with quaint shops, cafes, and galleries, as you soak in the ambiance of Dubai’s bygone era.

Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood

Next, we venture into the heart of the Bastakiya Historic District, also known as Al Fahidi. This meticulously preserved area, with its narrow lanes and wind-towered buildings, offers a glimpse into Dubai’s past. Wander through the art galleries and museums, discovering the stories of the early settlers and their ingenious architectural designs that provided relief from the desert heat.

Textile Souk

Our journey continues with a visit to the bustling souks of Dubai, where the air is filled with the aromas of exotic spices and the vibrant colors of textiles and gold. Begin at the Spice Souk, where merchants showcase an array of fragrant spices, dried fruits, and herbs. Feel free to engage in friendly haggling as you purchase some unique souvenirs. From there, we move to the Textile Souk, a treasure trove of fabrics, garments, and traditional attire. Marvel at the variety of textiles, from fine silks to handwoven pashminas, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of this bustling market.
