Private guided tour in the company of a local tour guide who will accompany you to discover the monuments of the ancient village of Bari and street food
Meet the local guide at the Castello Svevo and start this private tour admiring the fortress from the outside. Then you will enter "Bari vecchia", as the city center is called. Here you will cross the "orecchiette" road, where you will meet the women who prepare pasta by hand. You will visit the Cathedral of San Sabino, built between the 12th and 13th centuries, on the ruins of a Byzantine church, the Basilica of San Nicola, a splendid example of Apulian Romanesque architecture, where the Catholic cult meets the Orthodox one. The guided tour will be interspersed with stops to taste the street food specialties of Bari. Proceeding through the characteristic alleys you will meet the locals and you will taste the sgagliozze, pieces of fried polenta, the typical focaccia with tomatoes and a good plate of orecchiette.
You will make your own way to the meeting points
