City of Castries Historical Tour
Cradled on the periphery of a collapsed volcanic crater, the capital city of Saint Lucia, Castries or La Carenage as she was called in the years gone by, is an inviting little town rich in history and patiently waiting to share the stories of the many stormy years gone by.
Your tour begins with a stroll towards the Central Market with your knowledgeable Tour Guide, and you are welcomed with beaming smiles from the vendors all eager to sell you their wares. The aromas fill the air with lingering scents of all the spices grown and processed locally, colorfully set up on countless display trays.
Continue your stroll bypassing the many historical buildings including the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Derek Walcott Square, and the beautiful Victorian Building which houses our central library.
An uphill drive gives a full view of the entire city. Enjoy the captivating scenes as you visit the ancient ruins scattered on the mountaintop.

Castries is a small capital with big character. A bustling food market, a vendor's arcade for a variety of local souvenirs, Victorian and French style architecture. Get immersed in a typical day in the life of Saint Lucians as you enjoy a walk through town!
Morne Fortune
Rising at about 300 feet above sea level, drive uphill along Morne Fortune and take in the sites from a vantage view point. Photo opportunities of Castries and entire north-western coastline of Saint Lucia
Morne Fortune Museum & Art Gallery
Not to be missed is the sprawling Sir Arthur Lewis Community College at the very top of Morne Fortune. The college is housed in restored soldiers barracks and they all have their stories! Lastly, the Morne Fortune Museum and Art Gallery is a worthy treat before boarding your buses for a short ride back to your ship

If your ship is docked at Pointe Seraphine: After debarking your cruise ship, walk to the terminal building on the pier. After passing the security point, enter the terminal and take a right towards the Duty-Free shopping courtyard. Walk through the courtyard towards the entrance to the shopping complex. The local representative will be waiting there, wearing an "Evergreen Tours" polo shirt and holding a white sign with green letters that say "Evergreen Tours." We ask all guests to please plan to be at the designated departure location at least 15 minutes before departure time. If your ship is docked at La Place Carenage: After debarking your cruise ship, walk to the terminal building on the pier. After passing the security point, take a left towards the exit and walk until you reach the circular information desk located inside the terminal building. The local representative will be waiting there, wearing an "Evergreen Tours" polo shirt and holding a white sign with green letters that say "Evergreen Tours." We ask all guests to please plan to be at the designated departure location at least 15 minutes before departure time.
