As a professional artist and teacher, it is one of my passions to teach others the joy of art making. I love watercolor sketch journaling and would love to share with you my years of tips and tricks so that you can learn how to easily draw and paint...even if you are a total beginner!
This art class is special because it is specifically designed for vacation travelers. I will show you the essential supplies you need to have a small, portable "art studio" that you can take traveling. You will be able to easily draw and paint anytime, anywhere and capture your vacation memories in your own watercolor journal!

We will meet at the Esplanade Stage (gazebo) in Capitola by the beach where I will teach you tips and tricks to capture your vacation memories in your own hand-drawn watercolor paintings. When you return home and look at your collection of watercolor drawings, the memories of your vacation will come alive in vivid color. My goal is to share with you the joy of watercolor journaling and teach you what you need to know so that you can take this new skill set and enjoy a lifetime of creative expression, inner peace and joy. You will learn: * Learn 3 Drawing Hacks! Learn to draw ANYTHING like a PRO instantly! For those of you who swear you can’t draw… I am going to show you how to draw anything and have instant success! * Learn the #1 way to improve your observational drawing! * Learn and practice drawing techniques to make your artwork come alive! * Explore watercolor! Learn how to mix colors and the basics of color theory * Play with watercolor techniques * Composition basics. * I also give you a cheat sheet with 6 winning, done-for-you compositions.
