Drifters End Distilling Company
Option 2: Gins and 1 Whisky: Discover the essence of Tasmania at Drifters End Distilling Company, a boutique distillery founded by sisters Sam and Chris Jones. Located just minutes from Hobart International Airport in Cambridge, this distillery offers an intimate glimpse into their handcrafted spirits. During your visit, you'll explore their artisanal production methods and enjoy tastings of their diverse range, including award-winning gins and unique creations like Spiced Pumpkin Gin and Absinthe. The experience is enriched by the distillery's serene setting and the founders' passion for crafting spirits that celebrate their journey and new home in Tasmania.
Option 3: Blackmans Bay Distillery now located at Cambridge. Award winning Rum and gin. Founded by husband-and-wife team Stuart and Danika Bumford, this distillery is renowned for its handcrafted gins and rums, each batch infused with locally sourced, seasonal botanicals. During your visit, you'll delve into their unique "Infinity" gin-making process, where each new batch is blended with the previous, creating an evolving flavor profile. Engage your senses with tastings of their signature spirits, such as the Botanical Gin infused with kumquat and Tasmanian pepperberry, and the Smoky Gin featuring home-smoked Australian almonds.
