Additional Information

You will be picked up from your hotel in Hurghada by our tour guide, who speaks your language, around 3:00 a.m. (your guide is an experienced Egyptologist). We will travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus, passing through villages and the desert on our way to Cairo. Once we arrive, we will be among the first to visit the Egyptian Museum, the largest museum of ancient Egyptian art in the world, located at Al-Tahrir Square in downtown Cairo. Established in 1900 and opened in 1902, the museum houses over 150,000 artifacts, making it home to the largest collection of Egyptian art. It spans two floors and features more than 100 halls. Among the exhibits are approximately 1,700 pieces from the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb, along with mummies and coffins, many of which are remarkably well-preserved. The Egyptian Museum offers a fascinating and informative experience. After our visit to the museum, we will head to the magnificent pyramids of Giza. These pyramids are some of the most recognized and oldest structures in human history; the Giza pyramid field has served as a significant burial site since the 1st dynasty. The construction of the pyramids took place around 2620 to 2500 BC. Next, we will explore the Chephren pyramid, the second tallest of all the Egyptian pyramids, built during the 4th dynasty around 2550 BC. This is the burial site of Pharaoh Chephren, the fourth pharaoh of the ancient Egyptian 4th dynasty. Following this, we will visit the iconic Sphinx, located near the Chephren temple. The Great Sphinx is the largest and most famous sphinx, depicting a reclining lion with a human head. It is believed to have been constructed during the 4th dynasty, around 2520 to 2494 BC. For over four millennia, the Sphinx has emerged from the sands of the Egyptian desert, carved from a limestone hill that was used as a quarry for the Great Pyramid of Cheops. After all these visits, we will drive to a nice local restaurant for lunch. Please note that this is a private excursion. It takes place with a maximum of 8 people. The price is graded according to the number of participants. You can only book this excursion as a single person or as a couple. We the HurghadaToGo team are at your disposal to carry out this excursion individually and personally with you. Book with us if you are planning an unforgettable, individual and personal excursion.
