Sardinia is synonymous with beautiful beaches, crystal clear sea and countryside. But what about its history? What about its archaeological treasures? What about the cornerstones of its culture?
As an archaeologist, and not just a tour guide, I will take you on a tour of Cagliari's National Archaeological Museum and some of Cagliari's most iconic archaeological sites and monuments, a very important part of the city's history and mine as well. Unique places that will leave you with great memories!
After the tour, we will go down to the commercial streets of Cagliari for a free walk.

The tour starts with a visit to the National Archaeological Museum in Cagliari. Inside the museum we begin by explaining the origins of Sardinia by showing archaeological artifacts from prehistoric and protohistoric times up to the Roman era; once we finish explaining the historical events through viewing the archaeological artifacts, we proceed with viewing the magnificent Giants of Monti Prama, plus eventually any other notable artifacts inside the museum
After the museum, we will proceed to the necropolis of Tuvixeddu; you will see from the outside the tombs excavated, some of them will be explained in detail, in the Carthaginian period in the Tuvixeddu hill and at the same time explain the history of the necropolis itself from the Punic to the Roman period.
After Tuvixeddu, we will proceed to arrive at Cagliari's Roman amphitheater; you will see the structure from the outside and its features will be explained along with the history of the gladiatorial spectacles that were held inside
