Ponte Vecchio
Going by the most famous squares, we'll make a beeline for Piazza della Repubblica and after that to Ponte Vecchio to see its prestigious gem specialists' shops.
Piazza della Signoria
As you meander through Florence’s streets and piazzas you come to the political centre of the city, Piazza della Signoria. On one side is the Uffizi Gallery once the home of the Great Duke’s of Florence and on the opposite side of the piazza the imposing Palazzo Vecchio, former seat of the Florentine government.
