The Grand Palace
Step into the heart of Bangkok's history with a visit to the Grand Palace, the city’s most famous landmark. Once the official residence of the Kings of Siam, this stunning architectural masterpiece showcases ornate buildings, golden spires, and intricate details. You’ll marvel at the grandeur of the royal courts and gardens, and see where royal ceremonies still take place today.
Wat Phra Kaew
Inside the Grand Palace grounds is Wat Phra Kaew, home to the revered Emerald Buddha, carved from a single piece of jade. This sacred statue is considered the most important image of Buddha in Thailand, and the temple’s elaborate decorations and murals tell the story of Buddhist cosmology and Thai spirituality.
Wat Phra Chetuphon
Famous for its giant Reclining Buddha statue, Wat Pho is one of Bangkok’s oldest temples. The 46-meter-long Buddha, covered in gold leaf, represents the Buddha’s entry into Nirvana. Wat Pho is also considered the birthplace of traditional Thai massage, where you can experience an authentic massage in its peaceful surroundings.
