Located in the Cañete river valley, approximately 6 hours southeast of Lima, the Nor-Yauyos Cochas landscape reserve is a wildlife paradise for fly fishing, with beautiful waterfalls and lagoons of crystal clear water overflowing with trouts and surrounded by the imposing mountains of the Peruvian Andes. The region is very diverse and full of life, it hosts llamas, foxes, pumas, vizcachas, deer and a great variety of birds including the majestic condor of the Andes. It is also possible to admire the traditional platforms of Andean agriculture and archaeological sites throughout the experience.
Pickup included
We will depart from your chosen accommodation in Lima early in the morning and make a 7 hour breathtaking road trip in a 4x4 vehicle through the Andes mountains and finally arrive at a beautiful hotel next to the river where we will be staying. Over the next few days, we will be fly fishing around 3000 m.a.s.l. in many different landscapes all along this river and its many turquoise lagoons. We can easily see lots of trouts swimming in the crystal clear waters of the lagoons and streams during the entire trip, as well as a large number of native birds and wildlife.
