A circular hike in the heart of Lefka Ori mountains, through the lunar and extraordinary landscape of the mountain, the biggest mountain range of Crete.
We start with a small road trip from the traditional and historical village of Anopoli into the interiors of the mountain with an off-road vehicle (transfer included in the price) . After of 1 hour of rough driving through an adventurous dirt road (Distance 22km, 1 hour driving) we will reach to the starting point of the hike, at the heart of the Lefka Ori mountains. From there, we follow the well marked trail up to the highest peak of the mountain range, Pachnes (2.453m). A little break to admire all the greatness of the mountainous Cretan landscape and we setting of for the Katsiveli refuge, a tiny plateau just in the center of the biggest mountain range of Crete. Then, between from the high and impressive high peaks, we reach back to the starting point and we return to Anopoli village from the same way.
