Itinerary

Miradouro do Pico do Carvao

Miradouro do Pico do Carvão offers stunning views of São Miguel Island. From this viewpoint, you can see lush valleys, rolling hills, and the coast. On clear days, the views extend to Lagoa do Fogo and the surrounding mountains. It's a perfect spot to enjoy the island's natural beauty and capture some great photos.

Caldeira das Sete Cidades

Located about 17 km northwest of Ponta Delgada, one of São Miguel's most breathtaking natural attractions awaits. The caldera is home to three smaller lakes, along with two large, almost identical lakes: the Lagoa Verde, known for its crystal-clear green waters, and the Lagoa Azul, with its striking blue hue. These two stunning lakes are separated by only a narrow bridge, creating a captivating and serene landscape.

Lagoa do Fogo

Lagoa do Fogo is one of the most iconic and stunning natural landmarks on São Miguel Island. Nestled within the crater of an active volcano, this pristine lake is surrounded by dramatic landscapes of lush forests, rugged hills, and volcanic terrain. Its crystal-clear waters, often a vibrant blue, are a striking contrast to the surrounding green vegetation. As the highest lake on the island, Lagoa do Fogo offers breathtaking panoramic views and is a haven for nature lovers and hikers.
