On this experience we cover 3 different areas, the old core of the city and our favorite park. We combine our culture & history exploration with a local wine tasting. Let’s dive in…
We start next to a majestic monument, the Arc de Triomf and the 1888 Universal Expo ground. After a short walk we enter the biggest public park in the city, Barcelona’s version of Central Park. Here we start with a refreshing toast, salut!
We cross “El Born”; a very charming and bohemian area famous for it’s tapas bars, world class wine & cocktail bars, boutique shops, museums & art galleries
Next we will enter this maze of little streets with many hidden treasures, The “Gothic Quarter”. It's where it all began! From Roman ruins to Medieval times. We'll travel back in time as we explore the layers of 2000 years of history
You will get a good overall impression of the city, it’s people, the history and culture and get great insider tips. A good way to start your BCN experience. Share the joy with us!
Starting point of the tour and one of the important landmarks of Barcelona. Built as an opening gate to an area that was completely remodeled for the 1888 World Fare. A great place to start with an introduction to our tour after which we will visit this wonderful area
This is the biggest public park in the city of Barcelona and the favourite park to many Barcelonians. It's our version of Central Park. The Monumental Cascade, the lake, remainings of the old military camp, some of the earliest Catalan Modernist-style buildings, and an indoor botanical garden, we will explore it all during our walk through the park, very relaxing
Next, we will explore one of the oldest and most bohemian neighbourhoods in the city, El Born. We cover some important landmarks like the Cathedral of the Sea and the Born Culture & Memorial Center while we explore this neighbourhood further. El Born is famous for great food and has the best tapas bars (we can give you lots of great recommendations), specialised wine & cocktail bars, finger-licking pastries, boutique shopping, art galleries and some of the most important museums in the city
You will make your own way to the meeting points
