The Museum of the main temple arises as a result of the excavations carried out by the Project Temple Major, comprises of an area of archaeological ruins and a museum that exhibits around 7,000 objects found in and around it. Immerse yourself in the last great Mesoamerican Empire prior to the arrival of the Spanish, who are we talking about? We refer to the Mexican Culture (misnamed Azteca) we will touch themes so that you have a more complete immersion that the Museum does not transmit by itself, not only will see the pieces exhibited but you can contextualize them, the Templo Mayor is the only window of greater approach to the Mexican Culture and we will guide you with the love and passion about that history our Mexican, themes to be treated; cosmogony, gods, way of life, sacrifices, sacred center; they will be prerequisites for greater understanding of the archaeological site, the purpose is that in the end you have a 360° view of said culture
We will start with an approach to the Mexican Empire (formerly the Aztecs) in the cafeteria meeting some drink (coffee, tea, beer, soft drink water) we will talk about its origin, its gods, legends, expansion, sacred enclosure. After that we will access the ruins of the Templo Mayor and its museum where we will appreciate the legacy of this last Mesoamerican empire, we will not only appreciate the exhibition but also relate it to the initial talk for a greater understanding of said culture.
